I am not sure about leaving the charger plugged into the cart while driving, but Club Car does offer on-board chargers for both the 36v and 48v carts, so under normal golf style driving, the charger should be fine. If you are like the rest of the crew, I would leave the charger at home before hittin the trails. :O)
