It appears to me that All Trax is everyone's preffered controller, where is the best place to buy one from. Also What is the best 8 volt batt. on the market. Thanks again for all the info, this forum is the most helpful i've found. Thanks for the links impalass88 they have been very helpful I think Im starting to understand what Im about to try to do. Atleast a little...
The 400 amp solenoid is the one recommended for use with the AXE 650 controller. If you read this document on All Trax website it will explain alot. It shows pictures of the parts and the recommended solenoid, fuses, and diodes. Check out these two links. It is the diagram I wired mine by and the explaination of all the components. You are not limited to 400 amps by the solenoid. It is just the rating given. When you see this sucker IT IS STOUT and heavy duty. If in doubt call All Trax. Those guys are AWESOME. They are more than happy to explain anything and help with your project. I talked to them one day for 45 minutes about controllers, solenoids, batteries, and you name it. They love to talk golf cart stuff. They build their own to horse around with and test product, so they know what they are doing!!!

I bought my solenoid off e-Bay fo $50.00 (normally they are $150.00 plus). I got my controller from 3R Sales and Service. They are a sight sponsor and offer a 10% discount to forum members. Give them a call. The sales person is Justin and he is awesome to talk to. I posted a link to KTA Services for the best price on the PB-6 pot box. I bought my lugs for my cables off e-Bay. The dealer was called GenuineDealz. They were like $13.00 for 25 of them. I bought my cable from the local welding supply. It was $35.00 for 25 feet.

The best batteries are Trojan (expensive), and US Battery. You can also get Interstate batteries. Their 6 and 8 volt golf cart batteries are manufactured by US Battery. they are exactly the same battery as the ones with US Battery labels. Both very good. DO NOT BUY EXIDE BATTERIES. Remember you get what you pay for in golf cart batteries. Crown also makes a decent battery but not the same quality as Trojan or US Battery.

I will try to post some pictures of my build tommorrow so you can see kind of what everything looks like together. You know what they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words", and I don't really want to type a thousand words!!!
