Default Re: What is the best way to ship a engine?

I've shipped atv motors the same way scottyb described. With the v-twins I used a pallet and built a plywood box around it using waferboard. Remember, you get better rates shipping from somewhere that ups/fedex picks up from daily (or drop it off at their facility). We get heavy discounts with fedex at,my work so I always used their account and wrote it down as a negative on my expenses. Wateve you do, dont just put it in a heavy cardboard box and ship it standard ups or fedex. They rough on stuff during the sorting process
