My dealer told me use the NGK BPR2ES, it is the plug for newer yamaha carts. It works great, well it did before I put a clone in my cart. Far as storage I guess what you would usually do for fuel, I'd likely unhook a battery cable.

If the steering is touchy at speed it is likely toe in too much, the tires would be pointing at each other in the front. It is best to measure ahead and behind the tires to find the toe in. Technically this should be done with some weight on the cart to simulate a person. It should have a tiny amount (1/8") to near none of toe in. Toe out will make the steering vague at speed and cart will wander. Toe in too much will make it dart and touchy steering. You turn the tie rods to adjust, make sure to center the wheel at same time and test drive it before you are done.
