A good (and fairly easy) starting point would be to obtain a condition on your battery. A dead or low battery will result in a click only when you push the gas. Measure the open circuit voltage of your battery. Fully charged should be in the neighborhood of 12.5 to 12.8 V. If you have a cart that can be put into neutral, try cranking the engine in neutral while observing battery volts. Volts will disappear
or go way down if battery needs charging. Report back what you find. Also, need to know what cart you have. RAY
