If it's a typical three position switch, there are two independent contacts, so it will have four spade connections. The first is power to the controller. Since you are adding a reducer, I assume the lights, horn, etc. used to be powered by two batteries. Disconnect these. Run a 36 (or 4 volt positive wire to one side of the switch and the other to your reducer "on" (remote) wire. If your reducer doesn't have an "on" wire, you'll need to use a relay, as your reducer may exceed the amp ratings for your key switch.

EDIT: That should be 48 volts. Dunno why the smiley face appears.
