Pull it apart and inspect the brushes and commutator. The brushes are probably worn down and the commutator is probably damaged but it can be cleaned up. If you don't do this yourself, find an electric motor shop to do it for you. Much cheaper than a new motor. Ok i have pulled the motor out and it clean ...so its been apart before...The armature spins really freely with no sound of rubbing from the brushes at all, if i push the back of the brushes it slows the spinning considerably ...Ill post some pics ..
Not sure what the commutator is or looks like?..Ok i just googled it lol...thats the end where the brushes run...Well this one is black and all scared i guess you would call it..
