Re: 1977 EZGO 2 stroke
My son and I worked on the 1977 today. The main reason we picked this one since it was running.
The crank had no play and the compression was 125 in each direction.
Upon retaking the flywheel off the bracket holding the points was not sitting properly in the tabs that hold it. We filed the bracket and made it fit flat and able to adjust easily. Then reset the points and timing. That solved the problem and the cart took off in both directions.
Runs great in both forward and reverse. Now on to redoing the other parts of the cart to improve it's looks.
Thanks again to all the comments and suggestions. After this cart is done I think I will attack the 1988 one next.
