I have rebuilt old point sets for obsolete outboard motors by using a dremel cut off wheel and removing the contact surfaces froma common set of points and then silver soldering the new contacts to the old set arms. Dunno what you can do about the spring other than trying to adapt a spring from another similar set. Vellman kits makes a transistorized ignition module that only uses the points as a low voltage trigger thus making them last a very long time. Kit is $25 available from Vellman.
