Default 2008 cc controller conversion questions

I have a stock 2008 cc precedent. What is involved in changing to an alltrax controller. Does any other components need to be changed? What are the advantages and did advantages?

If you mean like this one https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...roller-300-amp it is pretty much plug and play. 2 ring terminals, some labor for the swap out, and a few minutes to clean it all up and you are done. ~2 hour job for a beginner.

Now if you go with an XCT-500, then you need to upgrade cables, solenoid, etc, to handle the additional current demands. And XCT300, as listed above, will work with all your factory equipment as is.

Can an XCT400 or 500 be programmed to not overload a stock system?
Then, later on Cmdtrait could open it up with a simple change in the software.

Yes.
Another advantage is you can program it with a laptop & USB-B cable, Alltrax has the apps free on their website.

I ordered the full level 2 kit from the link above (revolution). Dave was great to work with and my cart is running great. I just decided it was easier to do it all now so if I wanted a motor later on the XCT500 was already in the cart.

Yep, and that would be a great way to go. Get a 4 or 500 amp, and dial it down to 300 until you’re ready for more.

Yes, but when you get there, you want to change all the other peripherals (solenoid, cables, etc) as that is all part of it. Then if/when you upgrade the motor, it is no more then connecting to the Tool Kit and tuning up the controller. 'Viola! You are done!

Sound logic if you are looking to go more down the road. But, it you are only going for an OEM replacement or simple controller upgrade, the XCT-300 is the most bang for your buck.
