Just wondering about the timing marks on the counter balance shaft gear, it has a stamped dot, but the crank gear doesnt have one . Looking for the timing for this engine, if anyone can help?

The camshaft and crankshaft each have a dot that line up.

The balance shaft has a dot but the crank does not. Center that dot where the cog of the gear lines up straightest with the crankshaft. There was once a paint mark there but that’s long gone.

Thanks, I read another post after posting and it said the same thing. I made another paint mark before removing the gears. Thanks again for the info.
