Re: DPI Accusense 48v
I'd leave the DPI plugged in, it will maintain the charge on the batteries as needed, I'd unplug or remove AC when not connected to the cart as per instructions. Now that said the average user isn't a shop or holding several carts so when not in use keep it plugged in and when you return home plug it back, leaving it plugged into the cart and AC won't hurt anything.

Re: DPI Accusense 48v
From the manual:
If the charger is supplied with an AC Disconnect Relay (1R or 2R series), the charger will disconnects itself from AC power, thereby saving energy and cost. If not supplied with AC Disconnect Relay, the charger continues to operate as a maintainer to safely maintain battery capacity at 100%, by preventing battery self-discharge. While connected to the battery, the microprocessor remains active to monitor battery voltage keeps a record of elapsed time. The charger’s DC cord set can now be disconnected from the charging receptacle by grasping the plug body or handle and pulling the plug straight out of the receptacle. |

Re: DPI Accusense 48v
That is exactly what I read also, I usually leave my power drive plugged in but the DPI must have an issue with that or maybe they want you to save unnecessary power consumption.
