Default Replacing Bearings, Brushes on Motor

While trying to fix the whine on my 2012 EZGO RXV I've been reading some posts indicating that the motor might be the culprit? That perhaps the bearings and brushes should be replaced? Is that a DYI project or something best left to pro's? I've removed the motor once to replace the input shaft assembly, and can do it again. Are the parts readily available?

It is my understanding that the RXV motor is a 3 phase AC brushless design.

Correct, there are no brushes.

Rear end whine usually comes from deeper in the differential. I'll answer in your other thread.
