Re: Burning battery wire... thoughts?
could be a loose conection. defintitly needs cleaned. looking at your other post. my guess would be that there is more power being drawn from that lug as you have 4 8volt batterys and 2 6volts. just a guess though. love the cart

Re: Burning battery wire... thoughts?
Ty! Yeah it was nasty and loose I just replaced the 6's with 8'....and she's quick! Think I'm going to replace the wires next and clean electric system up. Any suggestions on wire gage and place that's reasonable ?

Re: Burning battery wire... thoughts?
Use 4ga wire. You can buy them from Carts Unlimited
Once again dont let a lower price point sway you. All cables are not made equal. The money spent up front will save you in the long run. A good set of cables should be the last set you buy. |

Re: Burning battery wire... thoughts?
Any time you see that kind of corrosion, the entire cable assembly needs to be replaced, cleaning the connections or replacing the lug will not have a long lasting effect.

Re: Burning battery wire... thoughts?
Thanks ... yeah the wire is not flexible anymore and makes cracking noise when I move it ... its old and shot! Carts offers a kit for $250 does this seem high?

Re: Burning battery wire... thoughts?
No but you need to determine if your cart still has the OBC, what type of solenoid/contactor system it has and what FNR switch
