Default New Horn - Sound type & Wiring ?

I want to replace my horn because its one of those old-timey horse and buggy type horns, that is ridiculous sounding - it also works even with the key off...it's just wired 12v to one battery.

couple questions.

1) anyone have a recommendation for a normal sounding horn? links please!! :)

2) Is it recommended to wire it into the key switch - or is it safer to have it "always" on (i.e. my young kids and their neighbor friends love to walk by it and hit the horn while my head is under the hood of some vehicle next to it in the garage...

Thanks!

There's plenty on amazon:

Search car horn in amazon search bar.
To me a car horn is a car horn, unless it goes ooo-ruga.
If I had your problem, I would surely wire to switch.
Then when they hit the button and nothing happens, tell em they broke it.

i like the WOLO Disc Horn 115DBS 12V

use a reducer (36v/48vto 12v) to your key switch so all power is cut when key is off

I bought mine on ebay for $3 and it works a treat. It just runs off 12v from the reducer.
