Questions on my club car
Hello all, new to the golf cart game here.
I recently purchased a 2013 club car precedent from a little dealer a couple hours away from me in Illinois. I’m really trying to learn up on the different things that go with owning a golf cart and wanted to ask a few questions. First thing I notified was the steering wheel was a little off center. If the cart is tracking straight ahead the steering wheel points to about 10 o’clock. The alignment seems to be fine, tires are about 1/8 toed in. I removed the steering wheel to try and put it back on straight but the way the groves are it can only go on in certain positions. Any tips or anything that can be done the straighten the steering wheel out? The other thing I need some help with is the brakes. For one I’ve notified I don’t even have to touch my brakes when coming to any stop. The cart stops pretty hard on it’s own within a couple of seconds. Is it normal for it to do it that fast or should of be more of a coast with some brake pressure? The second thing is the brake lights. The lights do not illuminate unless you have full pressure on the brake pedal and it is to the floor. This concerns me when out riding because for one I never had to use the brakes and two even when I do I’m not pressing them hard enough for the brake lights to come on. I’ve asked the guy who sold me the cart about this and he says once the brake pads wear down the lights will illuminate easier. Any answers, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you! |

Re: Questions on my club car
I believe I misread #2. Rereading it sounds like your regen braking. You can have it turned down at the dealer.

Re: Questions on my club car
Thanks for your response. I finally just found a article on these forums that somebody was having the same issue. They were also told it was the regen braking. I had no idea these things had it. Thanks

Re: Questions on my club car
And I was actually just out messing with the brake pedal and found out it all depends on where my foot is when pressing the break. I was using my toes earlier and that’s why the lights weren’t engaging
