Here is a question.
There appears to be room for one more battery under my driver seat.
I think I saw something on scottys site suggesting adding one more battery.
Could I put a single extra 6 or 8v battery there, would it make sense to do that?

All the batteries in a battery pack need to be the same make and model, and the same age if possible.

I run a 42V system with the seventh 6V battery in the space in front of the driver side wheel well.

The controllers and solenoids that work at both 36V and 48V will also work at 42V, but the battery charger has to match the pack voltage.

Yeah that's exactly what I was talking about, Maybe it was you that said that about the 7th battery. I may do that, I have the lester summit 2 charger, Im pretty sure It does 36-48, thats the reason I chose it, keep my options open.

Make sure your charger does in fact do 42V.

Lester Electrical Emailed back this morning in the affirmative. The summit 2 charger will handle 42v packs. The also sent info on the setup.
