Default 2004 EXGO Limo TXT Series 36v Controller/Motor upgrade

I have a large limo cart and I have burned up 3 forward reverse controllers over the past 4 years. The last time resulted in a burned out motor and controller. So, I have started from scratch and have purchased and I am putting in the following in my cart:

1. D and D Motor - 170-013-0001 Motor 13:1
2. 600amp Navitas Controller
3. New Heavy Duty Solenoid
4. New Heavy Duty F and R switch

Questions:

1. Does anyone have a wiring diagram that can help me as I put this stuff back together?

2. Also, my new controller will not fit into the same spot as the former controller which was located under the front seat just behind the forward reverse switch. What other spots would be suitable for mounting?

3. Should I take this opportunity to add two more batteries and convert to a 48 volt cart?

Thanks fo your help, I am a newbie and feel a little in over my head.

You should definitely go to 48v.
The majority of guys here use alltrax controllers, but the Navitas does seem to be coming up more and more. Someone familiar with them might come along. Did a wiring a diagram not come with the controller? If it did, you can post the diagram and someone will be able to walk you through it. If it didn’t, check the Navitas website.
If you haven’t already bought the f/r, I’d suggest a reversing contactor instead.

I have burned up 3 HD F&R switches. The Miro switch kind.

Return the one you have and go to cartsunlimited.net and get the reversing contactor.

I installed one a week ago. Now the wife doesn't man handle that old lever.

Its a great improvement.

I picked up the Reverse contact on Cartsunlimited this afternoon. The checkout process was weird. No email no receipt. Hopefully it works out for the money.

Thanks orangeman6. I decided to go ahead and go to the 48v. I am going to have to purchase a new charget but it should pay off in time.

Both very good decisions. Did you find a diagram?

And you’ll be all good with cartsunlimited. Scotty ships fast. I don’t remember whether or not I got a receipt or email.
