No kidding, really? I wonder how that works? Times used to be that folks would copy from the digicam and try to upload only to find out they had to rename their pic because someone else had already posted a pic with the same generic name.

One would presume that since he has already posted the pic, it falls within the acceptable size range.

That might be true, or at least partially so, but I don't know for sure.
The pictures I shoot are huge files and I always rename then when I reduce them down small enough to post, but I have posted many of them more than once.
Not in same post or thread, but in different threads.
For example, I have schematics of Resistor, Pot Box, Series, DCS and PDS in .jpg files, which I post one or more of almost every day.

If the specific picture file he posted before, is in fact, the specific picture file he is trying to post again, I don't know why it isn't posting. Maybe renaming it will do the trick.

------------
Added:
Upon giving this a little more thought, I suspect the server hierarchy stores the file only once and simply reuses it for the different posts.
When someones tries to upload a file with exactly same file-name, but different bit-count or check-sum, it is rejected.

Basically the forum is just a huge relational database.

Do you upload from your computer every time you need to post one of those schematics?

All the pictures and info really help.

I think I'm going to run a dome light, front/rear lights, under cart led and a radio off a new 12v battery. Just deciding now what to get.

Looked at a lot of the marine radios, and it seems that even though they're marine they still need to be inside a waterproof enclosure. I'm also considering simply getting a marine Ipod amp and speakers, as most of my listening will be off my ipod/iphone anyway.

As for the lights. I have the cut in front/rear lights for the ezgo and purchased some waterproof LED strips for under the cart (color changing, really cool). The dome light is off a Tomberlin cart, and is a rear view mirror with a dome light built in.

From looking at all the setups it seems like the proper way to wire all this is through a fuse box. Any suggestions on this, or do I just go out and get a marine fuse box? Also, are you running the grounding bus from the fuse box to the negative on the battery?

Lastly, if I use the 12v port for charging also, do I run it straight to the battery, bypassing the fuse box?

First three photos.

Now that I've got new batteries, and more of them, I went with a 48v to 12 volt converter. Got it from ScottyB and it powers my headlights, tail lights, dome light, wig-wag, siren, stereo, horn, ammeter, and power port.
Man I like it!

You can do it either way.
If you are going to fuse it, be sure to use a fuse big enough for anything you are likely to plug in power port, either as a power source or for charging.

Just to clarify, you're running directly from the power port to the battery using 10 gauge and separately running from the fuse block to the battery with additional 10 gauge?

Thanks

In my case the cart came with factory lights and a fuse box so I used it. All positives go there. Negatives go to -neg on source battery. Don't ground anything to frame. I think a marine grade fuse box is a good idea. I think they make one with multiple spade connections for both positive and negative which might simplify wiring. I used marine grade switches and the MP3 amp/speakers is a marine unit also.
Wires can be snaked to the dash without much trouble if you remove the cup holder and a front wheel for access.

I didn't go the radio route because it complicates the installation and the radio part is largely useless when the cart is in motion because of interference from the speed controller. This seems to vary a lot from one cart to the next. Then there is the antenna issue.
Now, there are solutions to these problems and lots of members on this forum have mounted radios successfully. If you take the time to search through here (include CC and Yammy) you will find lots of very creative installations.

I like the MP3 amp because of it's simplicity. One small jack on the dash and a switch for power. Volume is controlled by the ipod or phone or whatever. However, if you want a thumper for a block party this isn't it.
