Re: PDS motor on 48 volts
Agree with jeep. The stock motor should be fine on 48v. Check your controller settings. I ran my PDS with the stock motor on 48v for quite a while with turbo on. I never used the regen on mine at all.

Re: PDS motor on 48 volts
I checked everything today and it all looks good, yesterday was the first time I have had any trouble. It was the first long ride on 48 volts . I did wash some mud off of the cart yesterday morning at the car wash, are the factory motors sealed or can water get in them just from washing the cart?Im just left the woods on it after about a slow 2 mile ride with no problems,I put my hand on the motor and it was warm but not hot like yesterday.

Re: PDS motor on 48 volts
Everything is working ok so far after i turned off Turbo and brake current.I think im going to send my motor to Plum Quick next week for the Bandit upgrade.Does anybody have a Bandit on a 48 volt txt? Im only running 20" tires on mine so im wondering what kind of increase in torque or speed i should see if any.I hoping it will at leat be more durable than a stock motor.I also looked at The Beast motor but it seems like it would be really slow

Re: PDS motor on 48 volts
Did you gain any torque or speed from the bandit upgrade?

Re: PDS motor on 48 volts
I'm happy with the speed I'm getting now, I would just like to gain some torque and keep about the same speed I'm at now.The cart still slows down a good bit going up a long hill .

Re: PDS motor on 48 volts
Have it rebuilt by Plumquick and turn Turbo back on, Turbo works on long hills that are at a slight grade, the controller will relax the field mappings a bit to allow more speed if the controller is not putting out full power. Rebuilt, Turbo, and 48 volts you'll be flying.
