Default golf cart batteries always hot??

Is it normal for batteries to still be hot a couple of hours after use?

Batteries should not get hot.
They will get warm, about 10°F to 20°F above ambient air temperature, but below about 120°F to 130°F.

As for holding heat, you've got over 60 lbs of water and lead in a plastic case sitting next to five similar objects in a closed top compartment with limited ventilation, so they won't cool down of very fast.

Technically, you have to get rid of well over 360 BTU for every 1°F of temperature the battery pack decreases.

(A BTU equals 1°F per pound of water, lead and plastic store more heat energy per pound)

No load. Well maybe mine are normal then. There probably below 110 degrees. Just being cautious.
