Default HD Solenoid

I have a 2001 TXT Series 36v Cart, high speed motor, HD F&R. Lithium Nissan Leaf batteries (on full charge they are at 42.0 volts). Have a White 36v HD solenoid. Other day I was cruising in neighborhood, stopped and when I pressed gas pedal, no go - no click. Towed it home, checked all connections on F&R, solenoid, controller and they were good. Just to be safe, I disconnected, cleaned connections and reconnected each one individually. Still no go. Replaced big inline fuse/resistor (6.5w) on solenoid. Still no go. Batteries are fully charged. Afraid my solenoid may be toast.

Question is - If I replace solenoid, should I replace it with a 48v HD Solenoid?

These continuous duty solenoids handle under voltage operation much better than over voltage

Go with the 48V Super-Duty (400A continuous/1000A peak), it is happy from 36V to 48V.
I'm running one at 42V.

Johnnie is running my Super-duty 1000 amp peak/800a continuous main contactor (solenoid). This beast can run on 36, 42, or 48 volts.

Looks like I'll be ordering the Super Duty 400/1000 48V. Back checked all connections and microswitches in the Solenoid Activation circuit and had full pack voltage at each place. Solenoid must be toast.

If you have pack voltage (36-48v) between the 2 small posts and the solenoid is not closing - it is toast.
