Default Differential Governor Actuator

'89 Marathon. Due to sloppy (but original) accelerator linkage I took the one inch nut off the top of the differential to see if I could take the lateral play out that area. The actuator shaft moved around and now I now can't figure out how to position it. No help from the manual. (rookie cart owner mistake, I'm thinking now)
