Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
If it turns over the switches are good. Check for voltage on the red wire going to the coil.

Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
There's nothing left but a rewire.
How do I access ignition switch? I drill the 2 rivets below it? |

Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
If it is factory rivets the center pin pushes out and drops into a cavity behind it. If they have been replaced they probably will have to be drilled out. That said if it is turning over it is not the switch.

Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
The demon cart is still haunting me.
I was messing with it the other day and it decided to spark. I have no idea why. Then it quit sparking and now only sparks when I step on or let off the pedal. I'm getting 9.5v at coil when I step on pedal. I ran wire from battery to coil, it made no difference. |

Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
A friend of mine had a 96 EZ Go that he replaced all those parts and still no spark. I believe his problem wound up being bad connection in a 4 pin Molex plug.

Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
Usually no spark is down to one or more connectors corroded. Usually the one at the coil connection.
A long shot, but sometimes a single spark intermittently is the battery connected the wrong way round. An easy mistake to kake if you have ring terminals connecting it. |

Re: New Coil, Ignitor, Pulsar, Plugs, No Spark
Made an ignitor/ harness bypass.
Got spark, looks weak. Getting a 3 volt voltage drop when I crank buggie. Going to charge battery. |

It will crank, then starts backfiring.

Did you ever figure out what your issue was? Sounds kinda similar to an issue I'm having.

My battery is brand new. Do you justjump the positive wire from the battery to the ignition coil or do you run both?
