club car MOT-A2 motor
I have a 2006 Club Car President with a Admiral MOT-A2 motor just installed. When you go it makes a clicking sound. Is this motor supposed to have the rubber spline bumper or not. I cant tell as the clicking noise is coming from everywhere and I can't pinpoint it. Sounds like a card in the spokes of a bike.

Re: club car MOT-A2 motor
I recently had a long discussion with engineering at the manufacture about the rubber bumper. Their recommendation is to not use the bumper. They believe it could put strain on the end bearing. I hope this helps

Thanks Scotty, but could this cause the noise that I described. I didn't install this motor and it is loud when the motor is turning the cart. When I free spin the hubs you cant hear it.
