Aftermarket VR wiring
Hello, I recently bought an 89 EZGO with the 3pg engine. It came with the wiring disconnected and an aftermarket voltage regulator. I have the factory manual but do not know how DF, D- and D+ correspond to BATT, ARM and FLD. Can anyone help me?
P.S., I did put all of these terms in the search bar without success. Thank you! |

Re: Aftermarket VR wiring
On a stock regulator, D- goes to ground, D+ goes to the positive side of the battery, and DF goes to a small stud that connects to the field.
D+ = BATT (battery) positive side of battery D- = ARM (armature) connects to ground DF = FLD (field) small stud on side of starter. |
