Default MCOR problem again???

My golf cart is a 2009 Club Car Precedent. Two years ago I had a problem of the cart would quit running as I was driving it. I would pump the "go" pedal several times and it would start running again. The MCOR was replaced at that time and it ran just fine. Now I am having the same problem again. The cart is used from April to October at a seasonal campground. It is used during the weekends only. My question is: do MCOR's just have a short life span or could something else be causing the same problem that I'm having now?? Thank you for any responses.

The aftermarket ones have a short lifespan. Typically a factory one would last longer than that, but it's possible that it's failed again. Is it a Mexico MCOR4 or a China MCOR4?

I'm not sure if it is factory or foreign. I had a Club Car dealer near me replace it for me. I still have the invoice from the dealer BUT the invoice is in my camper at the seasonal campground.

If you have the price of the unit, that'll be a sure sign.

I'll check the invoice when I go back to the campground.

Finally went to campground and found the invoice for MCOR replacement. The part number is: 103683101. The dealer charged me $244.05 for it plus labor.

I gotcha. That's an OEM part. It's a TPS to MCOR2 conversion kit essentially. It's a factory item, but it definitely could have failed in a short amount of time, especially with limited usage. An MCOR4 conversion kit will fit on your pedal and is cheaper than a replacement MCOR2 if you wanted to go that route. You don't have to buy the entire TPS to MCOR conversion kit again. If you wanna take a swing at it you'll need an MCOR2 to MCOR4 conversion kit, part number AM293001.

I remember seeing a lot of issues reported that were because of the TPS to MCOR adapter.

Are You sure your cart does not have one of these adapters?

It should. This was part of the "kit" they installed on his cart. The kit included one of these adapters and a new MCOR2.
