Club Car won't start
Everyday for weeks my club car won't start until the day has gotten warmer around 10-11:00. Now it will not start at all because the morning is cooler. Is there something that requires heat being applied to get it to go? It is put in a barn for cover and all batteries are fairly new and charged.

Re: Club Car won't start
Can you give us some more details?
1 What is the pack voltage when you try it? 2 What year is the cart and is it a Sepex, Series or PD+ cart? 3 How old are the batteries? 4 Do you hear a click under the floor or seat when you press the Go pedal (Microswitch)? 5 Do you hear a click behind the batteries (solenoid)? |

Re: Club Car won't start
My cart has been doing the same thing with the same weather change. It never did it once until these cold mornings. Late last night it did it the worst. I shut it off then in a bit I heard a click and it worked fine to get to the power to charge it. It somehow had got down to 50V but I had used it a lot. Not sure if that was the reason yet.

Re: Club Car won't start
it is a 2001 Club Car DS The batteries are new and has been functioning properly...I hear a click when I press on the accelerator I guess it is coming from the solenoid, as soon as the sun is out and the atmosphere heats up the golf cart will go...then repeats same behavior next day...not sure what pack voltage is, I am really ignorant about it all...

Re: Club Car won't start
Does your cart have a FNR lever for direction control or a Fwd/Rev toggle switch?

Re: Club Car won't start
Pretty sure that makes it a 36 volt resistor cart. My guess is you have a bad connection somewhere. In order to troubleshoot you really need to check pack voltage as Nole has asked you to do. You will need a voltage meter.
Is that click coming from the solenoid, or perhaps a black pie shaped box under the seat? |

Re: Club Car won't start
Get a hair dryer and heat up the controller and see if it goes. If not then try the OBC etc.
