Default Club Car Precedent - Fuse locations

Well, I guess it just had to happen. I thought I had everything off and, without realizing it, touched the leads on the dash that provide the full power (for reducers and such to be added on later) and shorted out the 48V circuit on my cart. The batteries are okay - still show full voltage.

Where are the fuses on a 2014 Club Car Precedent?

I've searched under Electric Club Car and found mentions of fuses, but there were a lot of articles about modifications. I've looked and my owner's manual doesn't mention locations. I looked at some wiring diagrams. Fuses on the diagrams, but not locations.

i found a few diagrams, but it's unclear which model they're for. I cannot find any inline fuses inside the battery compartment under the seat, where some diagrams indicate.

Other diagrams indicate it may be in the compartment behind the back wall of the battery compartment, but I don't see how I can get in there without taking off my back seat or maybe getting to it from underneath - and I doubt underneath would be an option, since it'd be hard to get it up high enough to get under it without power.

The panel at the back of the battery compartment should be held by a single torx screw on the top right looking from the front. you can get minimal clearance to get your hand in there to check the fuses by pulling it forward and up. Best to remove the batteries to gain full access this way though. Without a rear seat it is also easy to open the motor inspection panel in the bag well to gain access to and lower the plastic cover over the controller, contactor and fuses.

Thanks! I was so preoccupied with all the screw bottoms sticking out of the panel I never noticed that screw. Of course the dirt on it helped me not think about it. Found an inline 15 amp blade fuse and replaced it. All works now.

I guess maybe after some of the pain in the rear stuff I encountered (like running two looms from the batteries to the front while it was up on ramps, having to fit my arms down between the outside cover and the inside frame plastic for the seat/battery compartment for a few things), maybe I deserved a bit of good luck.

Next time flip the cart to tow and disconnect one of your battery cables.

I'm working on several things, including installing lithium batteries. Most of the time I've flipped it to tow, turned off my switch to the reducer (I added a safety switch to shut off the reducer), and turned off the batteries. I had turned them all on to test one thing, had to make a few changes, and forgot to shut it all off before I went to the next item.

The blade fuses are standard auto blade fuses available anywhere.
