Motor studs rusty, how to get nuts on them
Ok guys, long journey. Finally am ready to be back and have it all ready to roll. New used motor in place. However given how this all started, how do I go about getting the wires attached. I can’t hand turn the nuts in the motor studs. Thoughts. I don’t want to turn them.
Also 97 48v series club car with 3.1 hp motor. Is this correct- blue to s2 white to a2, orange to s1 and green to a1. Just want to be certain. Thanks. |

Get the correct thread die and run it on the studs very carefully to clan off the rust and crap. Start with a wire brush first to remove the loose stuff. Make sure you do not turn those studs or you will do serious expensive damage to your motor.

Another option would be to use a thread file if you can find one.
