Vglide resistors and wiring
It looks like I found the culprit to the intermittent no throttle on my 97 DS 48v Vglide. There is vbat and 5k-0 on the three inputs to the controller. I also have B+ and B-, but M- does not increase while depressing the pedal...and it does change from 5k ohms to zero.
So, I have one coming but have a question in reference to the wiring in the vglide. On the first photo the wiper on the left is the new one I ordered and on the right the original one. There are differences such as an extra resistor and where the three wires go to. I'm assuming two of the colors can be in either order since its resistance and probably why they are not the same as the original. I also found in a threat where someone used a jumper on the two posts where the extra resistor is. See photo taken from another thread. Would like your input on which one is better perhaps a smoother transition from stop. TIA |
