Western ID & Wiring Diagram Needed
Hello to all,
I am a newbie to golf carts and just purchased one with "Western" trim on it for the wife. I was told they were bought by EZ-Go. The serial number is 2001108XXX.It has 7 batteries and a NPX controller. It runs and the charger brings all the batteries to full charge. The problem is none of the lights have power to them and the wiring has been hacked badly. I have been unable to locate a wiring diagram for it. I will try to attach a picture for reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan |

Re: Western ID & Wiring Diagram Needed
that's interesting, I haven't heard of anyone running 42v. But, carts are relatively new to me.... My first cart was an old Melex and I was able to find some wiring diagrams and parts at 'vintagegolfcarts.com'. How are you charging 42 volts?

Re: Western ID & Wiring Diagram Needed
The cart came with a Lester Electrical Charger Model #14390 that charges at 42 volts/25 amps. It states on it to only use on 42 volt systems.

Re: Western ID & Wiring Diagram Needed
okay that above is for a 36v but the controller/solenoid/motor are all going to be going to to the same place, just make sure you wire the batteries in series so then at two posts you get 42v, and then that will go to your charger port, controller, etc. I have a 42 western diagram but its kind of hard to read, but one thing with the westerns they use there own jumble mess of wires for the lights/brake/turnsignals, so just isolate that stuff while you wire the controller so it doesnt confuse you, let me know if you need any help
