Charger Problem after I put in new Alltrax.
So I have a 2008 YDRE that I just picked up. I bought a new Alltrax XCT-48400 and a solenoid. I installed them and the cart cart seems to work great. Except if the charging port is connected as it was the cart won't move. If I take the positive lead off the battery from the port everything runs as normal. I'm assuming I am missing something. Any advice? What info do y'all want? I.E pics, model numbers, etc.

Disconnect the small Grey wire on the charge port? As far as I know, the charger will still work right.

I will say the charging port is not the original. One lead goes to bat +. one to Bat -. and one that goes somewhere, I need to follow that.

Ok, I did as told and disconnected the small grey wire. Seems to work as should now. What was that wire for?

Controller/charger interlock. I guess you better be sure to Unplug the charger handle before you depart...

That interlock doesn't work with the Alltrax controller as far as I know. It is a serial link between the charger and the original controller that prevents the cart from moving when the charger is plugged in.

First I have heard of this. It has worked with the Ezgo and CC, this is the first time I have heard it is not working with Yamaha? I have asked Alltrax for more information so we can verify or dispel this statement.

Doesn't the Alltrax Controller offer two different settings for how to interpret the charger lockout signal?
Maybe he has his Controller configured wrong. |

Re: Charger Problem after I put in new Alltrax.
Could be. My charger doesn't support the lockout anyway so I disconnected it when I installed my Alltrax. It may support the lockout with the Yamaha charger.
