This old thread is a good read. I'd go with a-arm.

I had a rough country 6" lift in my truck and wouldnt recommend it....If your talking about a yamaha golf cart, I have a jakes in on yamaha g1 cart and a generic ebay version in my g9 . The only appreciable difference was the price between the 2 being one cost me like $400 and the other was about $100. quality looked to be the same as well as performance..

Ive installed the economy 4" lifts as well which work fine for most applications but the A arm lifts are better in most cases. It really does depend on what this cart will be used for since the econmy lifts will give better stability and street performance in some cases and the A arm lifts usually will give better offroad performance. They both have compromises same as they do in a 4x4 vehicle where ive had everything from body lifts to 7" suspension lifts... Ive found there really isnt a superior choice for all applications.

On a serious note though, it would help to know what model cart specifically your looking for a lift for since there are completely different lift types, brands and kits for each different platform?

Depending on budget and use - allsports long travel. I’ve broken a few other lifts - not this one.

I would go for the A-Arm lift. Our Jake's 6'' works great.
