Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring

My speakers came out of my boat. They are marine speakers so I did not worry about them getting wet. I can tell you that they would hold water when they did get wet, so I cut another piece of the ABS plastic and put it in the bottom of the sweater basket as sort of a roof to minimize the amount of water that would get in there. |

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
If you look at ess picture you can see 4 buttons that are hiding screws. 2 top and 2 bottom. Plastic just sits on lip where bolts hold rubber trim on.

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
I got my console built for the radio, now to get wires run.. Haven't started yet but wonder where is the best place to tap into the wires that go to the key? Is there an easy way to get in there?
Also, if I run wires down the aluminum frame go into the cart at the spot where the rails are bolted to the cart. Is it easy to go from there to the battery and key? Never been under the body of one of these so I'm not sure how they are set up. Thanks for all the help so far. |

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
Scott,
I'm not sure on the 22, but I can tell you what I needed to do on the 16, you grab the front part of the cup holder insert and pull back on it it should pop out and give you access to the wiring for the key switch. I'm not sure I understand your question regarding the aluminum supports?? |

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
Thanks Essness. I think you are correct about the cupholders. I just went out and looked and it looks like the are one big piece that pops out. I never noticed that before.
Nevermind the rails question.. I need to just get out there and figure it out. |

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
I did not. I simply drilled and cut. I used stainless hardware, 10-32 machine screws with nylon lock nuts and flat washers on the back.
