Default When slowing down a brake is being applied

Hello all,
When I come up to a stop sign and let off the gas pedal, there is a brake that seems to be applied for me. Then I use my normal brakes to complete the stop. But if I coast down hill and put in neutral it does not happen. I like the coasty feeling.
I have a 07 Club Car Prec. I have been on my dads elect and his does not do this.
Can mine be turn off so to speak?

Jr, the braking you are feeling is the carts Regen system...It is making a charge for your batteries....Yes it can be programed not to do this so you can get 'the coasty feeling'.

This is a gas, is it still doing the charge? And do we also know how to do this?

I *think* it is the clutches downshifting as the RPMs drop. Same concept as downshifting in a standard vehicle.. engine braking as 4X4 CC mentioned.

So I guess, your guess is that I can not stop this from happening ? That is what I wanted, was to disable it.

Thanks
