00 DS works in F but not in R

It's in the harness.... The black and white wires on the micro actually "Y" into a resistor and come out with only 1 wire..... It's about 6-8" down in the harness.

Can I just cut out the resistor? What's the best way of going about it?

You can...... Cut the resistor out and hook the green wire to the wire where the resistor was cut off. You will no longer need the micro switch.
