Trying to decide which to buy, MPT gas or electric
I think I have it figured out in my head already, gas vs electric but I thought I'd ask real quick in case I missed something.
xxx.maconcustomtrailers.com/2009-EZ-GO-MPT-1000-Macon-GA-957 This electric cart is listed for $4199. I could hopefully get $200 off or so. I have also found a 2009 MPT 1200 gas that's stock for $3100 firm. Not sure of the hours on it yet and it's plane jane green with 8"/10" wheel combo.. I figure $300 lift and minimum $600 wheels and tires to equal the stance of the electric, I'm leaning towards the gas and will hopefully make my decision in the morning. Question is, what am I forgetting? Thanks, Dave can't post live links just yet, sorry |

Re: Trying to decide which to buy, MPT gas or electric
Bit the bullet and bought a gas 09 MPT 1200 today. I think I got a good deal at $3050. Not sure of the hours though..
Reseller I bought it from said EZ-GO takes the hour meters off? Not sure about that one. Seems straight up otherwise. Now to find info on valves and governor adjustment. Will be changing oil when I do the valves before I play with the speed. Then to decide on what type of lift. Guy I bought it from said he can get factory beam lift for $250 plus good deals on tires. That sound reasonable? Will be starting a proper post once I have some good info. |

Re: Trying to decide which to buy, MPT gas or electric
Thanks StoveBolt, Your cart helped push me in the direction for an MPT. Very good looking. I'll be digging through older posts to see what all you've done to it.
Now to keep reading. |

Re: Trying to decide which to buy, MPT gas or electric
Took the pressure washer to it yesterday to finish cleaning it up. Found three golf balls hidden under the starter. Guess I know where this cart came from. Did find a small problem with the intake valve rocker hitting the retainer. Posted in another thread with the same problem. Hope for some insight.. Otherwise I'm pretty happy it. Just a hint of belt squeal that hopefully some sand paper will quell. Gotta decide what lift and tires now.
