See the pic. I would think this is the original MCOR1 and I need to update. I just have a very small gap in acceleration. It goes from zero to wide open very quickly.

I will have to wait on pulling the motor to see about the bearing.

Would a commutator bearing be the same thing as the centering bearing?

You are correct in your assumption that it is an MCOR1. Convert it to the MCOR4 to solve your problem. A commutator bearing is the bearing underneath the end-cap of the motor. The centering kit will include this bearing, but the remainder of the centering kit will be installed on the shaft on the other end.

So where can i buy the kit?

Would this be the kit....AM10039-0??

Hey Tahoe, if i'm not changing the rearend out wouldn't all of the shafts going into the gearbox be of the same size? So wouldn't this work for any motor as long as you are not changing out the commutator?

It's pretty simple to install. Just hope you ordered the whole kit and not the controller by itself??? It should come with two plug harness adapters and a new shaft w/spring that goes from mcor to bottom of pedal. It's a CONVERSION KIT so you won't be using anything from your old one.

Hope that motor hasn't been on there for a long time.......they can be a booger to get off. I always put a small amount of anti-seize on the shaft before reinstall....you'll be glad in the long run. Too much anti-seize on the shaft can make your motor not butt up flush on mating surfaces and cause stress on bearings and cause abnormal motor temps to rise.

AM10039 is the part number and no it won't work on any motor. That's why I want to see the shaft. There are two styles.... a solid shaft motor and a guide-ring motor. Centering kits only work with solid shaft motors. Guide ring motors have a nylon guide ring that must be replaced to solve your problem. With your motor being aftermarket, I have no idea which style you have.

Hey Tahoe, What would a GE motor bumper do? Would it have the same effect? Let me know. Thanks.
