2008 - up SXV and Freedom Speed improvement
After trading my 2003 TXT in on a 2009 Freedom I was extremely unhappy with the performance of the new Kawasaki Engine. Understand that with very little modification my 2003 would run very comfortably at 25 - 30 mph and topped out at MPH. I could tell the the big single Kawasaki had plenty of power to run in the mid 30s but the linkage just would not let me access that power. In my opinion the pedal was very springy and did not provide positive control of the throttle. You can adjust the throttle cable length and get to the mid 20s but the pedal still felt wrong. After some study of how the accelerator system work I now have the cart running at the speed I want without having to rework any of the factory parts. I had thought about sharing this with the group but I decided that the legal ramification were too great. Let me just say that engine is very strong when it is not being held back by a poorly designed linkage system. I am very impressed with the engine performance now and it cruises very well, thought not as smooth as the 2003 twin engine.

I can hear it now..... Well judge, some guy on the internet named creepy crawler told me how to tighten up the gas cable and that's why I ran over that crowd of people standing in front of the quicky mart |

That's the point, I don't every want to hear any judge saying that in my presents nor do I want someone saying "gee he said it worked, I didn't know the brakes wouldn't stop the cart going that fast". If you want to know how it is done send me a private message. Of course I'll have to have you sign a disclaimer absolving me from any responsibility and a $20 service charge.

Is $20 all your asking for the procedure? Are you mentally challenged?
