G29 is a handful with passengers on the rear seat
I just installed a lift on my 2014 Gas G29. It is a 5" lift with 23" tires. With passengers on the rear seat it unloads the front suspension and it is a handful to drive. I am very disappointed in the way it drives. What can be done to help it?
Thanks |

Weigh the front down like they do on tractors...With the extra weight on the rear is making your steering to light.

Did the lift kit come with stiffer springs / shock combo? If not, I would stiffen up the rear suspension to counter the load. This will keep your front end down. It will also prevent sway and potential unsafe steering loss.

Need to add the over load springs to the rear and align the front end. Search YouTube and you’ll find videos on the process. Mine was 1/4 inch out and wandered all over before aligning.

I spent 1/2 aligning the front end, it is good. It drives good until there are people on the back seat.

Heavy duty springs for the rear shocks will help when the rear seat is in use. You may not like them when driving alone.

Re: G29 is a handful with passengers on the rear seat
My G29 is set up the same way as yours and the passenger drive-ability improved significantly when I set the toe-in. I set it with very little toe-in (1/4" variance from front to back of wheel) and it's pretty stable like that. I didn't use the heavier springs, but my shocks are in good shape and I keep the rear tires at 25 PSI.
