UPDATE!!!!

I just got the carb and fuel pump back and it seems like the flooding problem is fixed. I installed everything and ran the cart. It fired up using the choke and would run OK at low speed. As soon as I would give it full throttle, it would bog down and it even had a couple of very small backfires. I checked the plug and it looked pretty dark, basically black.
I am going to replace the air filter tomorrow, and duct tape the airbox to seal any possible unseen leaks. That is about the extent of my knowledge on these things, so any other advice or suggestions are welcome.

OK, here goes again.

I replaced the air filter with a new one, duct taped the hell out of the airbox, and turned the mixture screw all the way in and backed it out 1 1/2 turns. It is a little boggy at first, then it comes out of it and runs pretty good. (It seems to run even better after it warms up.) I checked the plug and it is a good shade of brown. I think with a little more tinkering and a new/used good air box, I should have it.

What is the throttle stop procedure? I have never adjusted one and I don't want to mess up the progress so far.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

its just another set screw on the opposite side of ther carb as the mixture, and you touch it to the throttle plate ( it moves when you move the petal) then in 1/4 of a turn, can't hurt anything with adjusting it.

Cause an ezgo would not run at all with the symptoms you are describing Asgco.

Oh, I get it now. He was talking s@#t. I should have known that this forum would have its flaws. It has been pretty good so far.

FYI, I am a partial owner of a 9-hole golf course and we own 21 EZGO carts and rent 5 others. They must be excellent running carts because you should see the morons that we pay $8.50/hr to maintain them for us!
