1980 G1 intro
Hey yall, new to the forum. Just figured I would share some pics of my build. Still have to build a rack for the back, back rest, add more lights and a winch, some other hunting related junk and put my new top end in her. She was running on 55psi compression. I found the bumper in a picture on this site and figured I would try to build something like it. Didnt turn out too bad for being a beginner welder. My neighbor build buggies for a living and did a home made 5" lift with 22 inch swamp fox tires. Lots more to come!

I like those front bumpers. Could be bigger bars though like 2". The 2-seat config could look sportier. But you may have your own reasons for the change.

Yeah. The G1 is more than a golf cart. Amongst the 2 cycles, this, to me, is the best! This is my 4th G1. The next best is my 96 Ezgo 350cc Workhorse!

Re: 1980 G1 intro
I wasnt a fan of the front boat seats so I decided a bench seat would be more practical if I had to squeeze 3 ppl on it to go somewhere. Its going to be a hunting buggy hence the OD green bedliner paint. Also, the 2" tubing just looked too big in my eyes so I decided to go with 1.25" for the bumper, its lightweight but strong enough.

Like your G1. The front bumper is made for anything you need on it....lights, winch, receiver hitch...looking good....

Re: 1980 G1 intro
bradb511 did you buy a bedliner kit and put it on yourself or did you take it to a dealer and have them do it? From what I have seen the bedliner kits that are coming out are pretty good.
