Default Ezgo Electric Problem

My serial # 79B02 T62848

I have 6 new batteries in, when I accelerate will move but is slow. Im looking for some voltage numbers to figure what or where the problem is. Is it the resistor or something else? Please guide me in the right direction.

Possibly one battery installed backwards or main connections on wrong posts? Check voltage where the cart connects to the battery pack? What is it?

All batteries are installed in the correct order, and the voltage after a charge is 36.9. Again, the symptoms are, the cart will go a short distance on level ground but when any incline is approached it will slow to a stop. Thanks for any advice.

It has 3 brand new ones and 3 that read 3 that read 5.99 , 5.99 , 5.95 after charge. Is that enough to cause the issue?

It might be, 5.99 is less than 50% capacity... a point used by most to recharge..... I got a cart in the shop today, ran fine on the flats dies on the hills... 6 batteries 3 different makes and ages... When on the draw down machine, one battery was dropping out to 2.4 volts under load another was 5.0v ... I replaced the 2 bad batteries and the cart acted much better, although not new.

Is there a way to check what it drops to like out rear on blocks? then check each Battery? Also how long should you charge the batteries at one time?

I put the pack on a draw down machine. Not something anybody but shops have, and then start checking individual battery voltage drop. Weak batteries show up immediately... You can connect a voltmeter to the pack and note voltage drop under driving load. And then connect to battery #1 thru 6 in separate tests to see where the big drop is.... 2 cells dropped out of one bad battery today, so 6v standing and 2.4v under load..... that's a culprit.

you have a battery problem and the sad part is if you don,t get it now your gonna ruin those 3 new batteries.......new batteries are approx75% and they have to be broke in which takes 15 or more charge/discharge cycles and you have 3 batteries trying to take up the slack of 3 other batteries.........fastest fix is get 3 more new batteries.....not cheap but you,ll save the other 3 ..........5.99 volts after a charge isn,t good at all so thats all you need to know.........also make sure your cables are clean tight and only as long as they need to be.........................
