squeaking brakes....
I've searched this site and can't find a fix...I replaced the shoes last year, and now the brakes have a bad squeak to them. It sounds like its coming from the right side wheel. It stops ok, but certainly could be better. As soon as the funds allow, I will be upgrading to the disk brakes I've read about, but for the time, what can I do?

Re: squeaking brakes....
Remove the hubs, and wash the brake components down with brake cleaner followed by compressed air.

Re: squeaking brakes....
EZ-Go brakes are capable of locking up the wheels from ANY speed if they are adjusted correctly. They are a PITA to get right, but worth it when you do.
You can scuff the drums with some sandpaper if there is glazing present. |

Re: squeaking brakes....
Spent most of the days working on the brakes...sprayed brake cleaner on everything, took 100 grit paper and rubbed the drums and shoes, both were glazed, adjusted the best I could.....made a big difference, stops better now, and quietly too.
