Ezgo st350 belt doesn't spin but motor does

The motor on my Ezgo st350 2000 turns and runs fine but the belt that attaches to the rear axle just doesnt spin like it doesn't grip onto the part attached to the motor. Can some please tell me what to do to mAke the belt spin so the cart can move again?

The drive clutch should close together when the motor turns. It sound like your clutch isn't operating properly. Remove the drive belt and try to push the outer sheave in to see if the clutch is stuck. If it is you will have to remove it to clean and lube or possibly get a new one.

My first question is: Does the primary or drive clutch "move inwards" as you rev the motor? If not, then that is the problem. Either the clutch is not fixed tightly or there is something wrong with the inside mechanism like a broken spring, for one.

If you look at the black drum shaped item in front that the belt rides on, it
*closes*on the belt as you rev the motor.

Yours *has* to do that. If it isn't then you have a clutch problem.

The front clutch moves in as the rear clutch spreads out.
