Default brand new carb and now a deceleration poping

Brand new carb and now this,never happened before.
Am I not getting enough air? Hook a brother up you cart guru's

Why don't you "hook us up" and tell us what were working on, sounds like the butterfly in the carb is not shutting all the way, cable adjustment

295 robins in a workhorse, butterfly looks good, clean fuel filter, govenor is not adjusted way out

When you put the new carb on my guess is that you didn't get the throttle cable adjusted just right. I don't remember where it was at on this site but basically the bulk of it goes like this...disconnect battery to avoid sudden take offs, turn on key and push cart pedal down until you here the click that says your cart should be doing something. if the butterlfy opens before that its not closing all the way during deceleration and allowing extra fuel to get into the cylinder and then pop the next fire it gets. if this is the case just adjust until you hear the click and then it starts to open and this will take care of the excess fuel. My sounded like a shotgun on deceleration until I read that and now no pop, backfire, or even fart.
