I have sent specs to EMP and am waiting on a recommendation. I also checked with the guys at Imaginative on the two speed axle , sounds great however seems like too much for a street cart. Plumquick is ready to Build a Bandit Motor out of the current OEM motor , says can use all stock parts and expect 21 MPH , AS you can see its a lot of info and options to process . Everyone's all over the place . |

Re: Anyone tried high speed gears in a Club Car DS series Cart
something does not sound right, you have a series motor, so you should be able to get the MPH, instead of 8-1 gears why not try a set of 10-1 ? That should be the compromise you need.
IMO, the bandit aint gonna do what you want and still have the torque. there is a link to a speed calculator just below your user name in a tab called "quick links", scroll down to it. |

Has the torque to spare . I will check the label on motor For rpm info and do the calculation based on a 20 inch tire Are you thinking I can just do the gears ? |

possibly, if ya don't already know, your rear gear now is 12.44-1, if it has not already been changed

I am taking my 8-1 out and will sell the whole axle assembly so you can just swap it easily
I enjoy the wheelie popping torque with the stock gears |

Thats funny because I just put in a new f r switch cause two of the wires were getting warm. And they are 0 gauge cables!
They never got warm with stock gears |

Re: Anyone tried high speed gears in a Club Car DS series Cart
If you want to run gears in an electric cart my suggestion is a torque only motor..
