Default Catastrophic failure- 2005 EZGO TXT Camshaft

While running down the road cart felt little sluggish and then BOOM! Looks like the oil was not getting to the camshaft journals and fried the housing on the head. Then causing the camshaft to lock and break the timing belt. If anyone has a MCI head for sale for a 295cc please PM me.

Ouch.

Does look like it may have been running dry, or a chunk of crud got caught in there.

Good luck.

That exact same thing happened to me on a 2002 st sport 2 weeks ago. Timing belt snapped and put a grove on under side of timing gear. Mine was an 11hp though.
