2007 Club Car Villager 6 12mph Top speed

Hello everyone,

Golf cart noob here. I have a 2007 club car villager 6 seater and I can't seem to get it to go any faster than 12 mph.

Here's what I've done so far:

Replace all of the batteries.
Moved to speed 3 setting
Added speedy link
Installed speed magnet
Installed new speed sensor

With all of these changes, it took the speed from 10mph to 12mph.

What else should I try? Is it possible it will never go faster?

Could it be the brakes or motor or something else?

Help!

I'm in the same situation with my 2001 Villager 6. Top speed 11 mph. How did you change the speed setting to 3?

I'm looking to get it up to at least 15 mph and will you know once I find out how. Have you found a solution in the past few months?

My villager 6 does 13mph very max with just me in it.. with the family does 11mph. Looking to get it a bit faster as well. Any updates?

Same issue

11mph uphill 27mph downhill.

Motor brushes lasta more or less 2000 hours. That would be my next guess, Open motor and inspect it.

Get an alltrax or navitas controller
